Sicco De Chico Part 2

"Great Title Sequence"

date: November 10, 2004

I liked the title sequence best. You will need to get voice into future flashes, though. I think that you are working on providing the two characters (Sicco and Johnny) with thier own personalities and that's a good thing. The music was good, though I didn't really care for the "money" bit at the end.

BTW, climbing about the outside of a moving jet is impossible. This bit of implausability actually raised my humor score, so it's a good thing.

Lone Warrior Guy (clay)

"Good action in a Clay Movie"

date: November 10, 2004

This had a great amount of action for a clay movie. I think I only noticed one moment where a hand was visable, when the camera was pulled away from the table for the face-off between the lone warrior and the mob. I thought that the flips and other off-the-table stunts were well done. I particularily liked the "Matrix" moment (that crap never gets old (heh.)).

As far as voices, your jailor/executioner guy sounded like Cookie Monster. That was worth a point in my book.

On the whole, I liked it and think you'll continue to put out better quality product with more experience.

"Uncomfortable Moments"

submission: Retard-ed
date: November 10, 2004

Personally, I don't care what a person looks like; however, if they're staring at me, it's probably going to freak me. Anyway, about the Flash:

The scaling was good. I think that the authour has some experience with F-mation, which prevented me from blaming this work. I have seen a great deal worse in my time, and the fact that he just whipped it up scored some points with me as well.

The light plot did have some moments that showed that the authour did give some thought to layout and storyboarding (i.e. the cut-aways, and the closing in on the "retard")

Certainly not the best, but not blam-able...

Ballad of the Democrats

"Slideshow with music"

While I voted for Kerry, while I hoped that the election would have turned out differently, I cannot throw points your way. You played "Yesterday" and you showed some pictures. That's about it, really...

Monsters: The Game

"Slowdown lowdown..."

submission: Monsters: The Game
date: November 5, 2004

I liked the first few levels the graphics were good (I liked how you did the exit portals, very nice) and the actual game play was good. The slowdown in the (I think) third level (with all the keys) made that level virtually unplayable. Perhaps it might be caused by having to deal with processing the background as you scroll (shrug)

Land Lubbers: Ep.1

"Keep the kid!"

submission: Land Lubbers: Ep.1
date: October 12, 2004

I liked the fact that a kid was doing the voices. I was disappointed to find that it was not the author of this flash, which would have impressed me mightily. However, it was the kid doing the voices that kept me watching this thing. I don't know, maybe it was the "so bad it's good" kinda thing.

Looking forward to the next ep. Get better sound quality and please keep the kid.

Fett and Dae

"I had a laugh..."

submission: Fett and Dae
date: October 11, 2004

I feel strange saying this, but I LIKED the beginning. The banality of the conversation is right on tagert with anything that you might hear at a store.

I appreciate that you are aware of the sound quality. Perhaps (and I don't know if you could have done it) if you recorded the dialoge in one chunk, then you wouldn't have had the "popping" of the mike being turned on and off.

You guys have great humor, and I look forward to seeing more episodes.

infilltration ep 2

"Shortcomings in animation overcome by humor"

submission: infilltration ep 2
date: October 11, 2004

While I felt that the animation could have been better, I do like the humor that you put into this movie. One part that I liked was at the very beginning when the main character jumps out of the car and poses on the roof. Then , at the end of the title sequence, he slips off and falls to the ground. You made sure to add the squeak of him sliding off, which mad me laugh.

If this is one of your first attempts, good job. Keep up the good humor.

Subliminal messages

"Scaling and music choices..."

date: October 11, 2004

I think you did a fine job with the scaling of the fonts and the choice of music used in the quiz, which gave a sense of fast pacing on a quiz that didn't have a time limit. I really don't see the sense of "leveling up" when you are sent to the beginning of the quiz if you get one question wrong. Some of the subliminals were very difficult to see because of dark-on-dark coloring, which inevitably adds to the frustration level.

I did like the effort and the time put behind it. As I said before, it scaled well and wasn't choppy.

Author's Response:

Id hope it wasnt choppy. It was 120 frames per second. LOL thanx

some FBF

"Simple, animated violence..."

submission: some FBF
date: October 11, 2004

... I likes it. The simplicity of the characters reminded me of some Joe Cartoon stuff. One thing that would have greatly helped this is better music selection, something that you could sync up with the animation. Overall, I liked the animation and the senseless violence. Good Job.

Author's Response:

thanx heaps!!
